A conversation with Mizue Aizeki, Deputy Director, Immigrant Defense Project
Mizue leads IDP’s local and state campaigns to end the police-to-deportation pipeline and also coordinates IDP’s project on surveillance, technology, and immigration policing, including community defense against ICE raids. Mizue is also a photographer whose work has appeared in Dying to Live, A Story of U.S. Immigration in an Age of Global Apartheid (City Lights Books, 2008) and Policing the Planet: Why the Policing Crisis Led to Black Lives Matter (Verso, 2016).
